I was a part of the class working alongside Professor Emily Seder on the Dear Sonoma Journal. Our initial goal was to compose a journal that not only will help heal Sonoma County but also which can be sold to collect funds going towards the Community Foundation Sonoma County Resiliency Fund.
"Feedback for us is like water for a plant, it's necessary." City Manager, Darrin Jenkins explaining the significance of contributing your thoughts to the City Council of Rohnert Park. This made me feel that although I am still a student, I could contribute valuable insight to our council.

During Sonoma State's Earth Week, many really cool events took place surrounding sustainability practices. For example, there was a Stuff Swap where students could bring unwanted clothes, shoes, books, and other random goods to exchange for others' items.
Service-learning is when a person, or group of people, take the knowledge and educational goals that they have been learning about in class and apply it to some sort of community service or community engagement.
The Service & Internship Fair is a fantastic opportunity to promote your organization and recruit Sonoma State student interns and volunteers.
Dr. Jessica Hobson's PSY 302 service-learners have once again participated in Discovery Day, an event that gives Roseland University Prep students information about applying to college and what it's like to be a student.
