Boo! On the scariest day of the year the CCE reached a great milestone and threw a huge celebration for it's 10 year anniversary. The CCE took over a large part of the bottom floor of the library where attendents enjoyed delicious treats and fun activities.

I'm glad I got to attend Los Cien's "4th Annual State of the Latino Community in Sonoma County" at Sonoma State University. I learned of many organizations in our area and put a human face to those groups.

The CCE is 10 years old! What better time to look back at the history of the CCE and community engagement at SSU?

As more than a dozen wildfires burned through large swaths of land in Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake, and Yuba counties, many of SSU students have been doing their part to help their communities. Among them, EE graduate student Mohammed Ibrahim is definitely noteworthy.

First, I want to thank all the students, VISTAs, staff and community partners who got involved with helping others all while facing concern for their own homes and safety.

Helping People. Changing Lives. 50 Years Strong. Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County addresses the needs of impoverished communities and the necessary changes needed to eliminate poverty in our county.

Lettuce is one of the most common food staples in the American diet. Whether it be the base of a salad, or the finishing touch on a sandwich or burger, we eat lettuce A LOT. However, how often do we actually know where that lettuce comes from?

"I'm looking for internships that will allow me to help others, more specifically kids, and better get to know [the organization], as well as myself," said Tessa Gordon, a senior Hutchins and Spanish student who attended this year's annual Service and Internship Fair.
