I'm excited to welcome Drs. Jeremy Qualls and Melissa (Missy) Garvin who are joining us as Faculty Fellows from Fall 2017-Spring 2020.
Probably the cutest event the Center for Community Engagement hosts is Book Buddies. Sonoma State service-learning students from Dr.
Ashley (Ash) Klein has joined the CCE as an Administrative Coordinator. She comes to us from the business sector . She works 1/2 time in the CCE and 1/2 time in the Faculty Center (now CTET).
On July 1, Provost Lisa Vollendorf began her position at SSU. Dr.
Volunteering at the CCE has made me feel more confident in understanding how the Center plays a huge role in the campus and with the community. It also has been preparing me as I await on becoming a full-time VISTA member.
In a society that has now been accustomed to trusting a screen on a daily basis, it is quite refreshing to be able to put our electronics down and partake in actual conversation.
